Despite being one of Mexico's smaller states, there is a vibrant and active gay community with an annual gay pride parade in the capital. The gay scene is split between the capital Colima and the adjoining city of Villa de Álvarez.
Comala is a picturesque town 10 km north of Colima, known for its artisans though we don't currently know of any LGBT+ specific businesses there.
