Zacatecas is one of Mexico's smaller states but the gay scene there is growing and there is definitely a vibrant LGBT community in the state capital Zacatecas and nearby Guadalupe as well as in Fresnillo.
Zacatecas has an annual LGBT Pride March in July. Fresnillo has their LGBTTTIQ March in October. Equal marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples were approved by the state legislature in 2021.
The facebook pages for the Zacatecas LGBT Pride March and the Colectiva Lésbico Feminista de Zacatecas are good resources for events happening throughout the state.
