Vallarta Food Tour

Vallarta Food Tours offers the original food tour in PV that takes you to some of the best local eateries in Puerto Vallarta. It is a gay owned and operated business since their founding in 2011. Come hungry and ready to taste your way through the city!

The Signature Taco Tour is a 3 hr walking tour in the Zona Romantica that runs daily at 10:00 or 10:30 am and takes you to 5 savory food stops tasting 5 to 7 tacos/foods on your tour along with stops at an outdoor market, bakery (excluding Sundays), tortilla factory, ice cream shop, and candy store. Tour routes change depending on partner operating days, but here is a sample of some of the foods and tacos you may find on your tour: birria, chilaquiles, carnitas, carne asada, chorizo, machaca, fish taco, tinga de pollo, adobada, tortillas hot off the press, fruit popsicles, pan dulce, and a traditional Mexican candy sampling. This tour is $65 USD per adult.

Tacos After Dark is a similar 3 hr walking tour in the Zona Romantica that runs nightly at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. You can plan on 5 savory food stops tasting 6 to 8 (depending on how adventurous you are) tacos/foods on your tour. You will also stop for hand made ice cream. $59 USD per person.

Beat the Heat Taco Tour is an express 2 hr walking tour in the Zona Romantica that runs daily at 10:00 am. Designed to give you a taste of traditional morning/daytime tacos from all family-owned food carts in PV. You will have 5 distinct types of tacos, refreshing agua fresca, Mexican Coca Cola, bottled water, and a handmade frozen dessert to keep you cool and hydrated. You’ll also stop by a tortilla factory to see how tortillas for tacos are made. $43 USD per person

Tipsy Taco Tour is a 4 hr walking tour in the Zona Romantica that runs daily at 11:30 am. As you can guess from the name, this one includes drinks too! Hit the streets of PV for an afternoon of food and drinks that highlight some of our most popular street foods and best spots for Mexican spirits and cervezas! Each Tipsy Taco Tour includes 6 alcoholic drinks/shots, 6 food pairings, bottled water, and signature beer koozie. $102 USD per person.

All the tours above are group tours are led by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about food and Puerto Vallarta. Unfortunately, none of Vallarta Eats food tours are suitable for vegans but if you let us know in advance the operator can usually accomodate requests such as gluten free, dairy free, no shellfish, no pork, no beef, no nuts. For vegetarians they recommend the Tacos After Dark option as it has the most options available.
