The Americana area is located between the Centro Historico and the more modern Zona Rosa/Chapultepec. This area doesn't have a ton of nightlife but has some of the most interesting restaurants and cafes in the city and is a great option to stay in as it offers easy access to both the Centro Historico's giant nightlife scene and the more upscale scene the Zona Rosa to the east of Chapultepec. It's a must see and be seen area on weekends for brunch where the numerous restaurant patios are all full.
