Yucatán state is a popular tourist destination with the colonial city of Merida and the Mayan sites such as Chitzen Itza as the main attractions for tourists. Merida also has an exciting and happening gay scene and a large number of LGBT expats. We've split our listings into two different pages:
Mérida - The state capital and largest city has a number of options for LGBT visitors.
Progreso, Chichén Itzá, Valladolid - Elsewhere in Yucatán state lie alluring beaches, magical Mayan ruins and unforgetable nature and while you won\'t neccesarily find gay clubs there are definitely some destinations worth checking out including Valladolid and Progreso!
