The capital of Michoacán state is Morelia and it has a very active LGBT scene. But there is also a lot to see in the rest of the state. We have information and listings for six different cities:

• Morelia - The bustling state capital and largest city of Michoacán has the most to offer for LGBT visitors.

• Uruapan - a city with colonial charm which is the second largest city in the state.

• Pátzcuaro - tranquil, artsy and gay friendly town located on the lake of the same name and is a popular tourist destination.

• Zamora - Zamora is the third largest city but does have some LGBT nightlife options.

• Lázaro Cárdenas - the port city on the Pacific coast has some options for the LGBT community.

• Sahuayo & Pajacuarán - pretty small towns located near Lake Chapala.

We don't currently know of any LGBT+ places to go in smaller towns in Michoacán. But there is an annual pride march in Maravatío.
