La alcaldesa clausuró nuevamente el bar Rico Club en CDMX tras un incidente ocurrido el 3 de enero en el que se acusó al personal de seguridad de golpear brutalmente a un cliente del club. Su licencia de funcionamiento ha sido suspendida temporalmente. Tras un incidente similar ocurrido en septiembre, muchos activistas afirman ahora que este no es un lugar seguro para la comunidad LGBT y piden que el club sea cerrado definitivamente.

The mayor has closed Rico Club in Mexico City again after an incident on January 3 in which security personnel were accused of severely beating a client of the club. Their operating permit is now temporarily suspended. After a similar incident in September, many activists are now saying this is not a safe space for the LGBT community and calling for the club to be permanently closed.
